The Kingdom's Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has paid for the delivery of a cash-strapped Saudi student's baby at a private hospital in Dubai. The scholarship student Dr. Tariq Al-Bahouth, who is studying dentistry at Ajman University, said he took his wife to a medical center for delivery, but the medical team there informed him that she needed advanced help. They directed him to a specialist hospital, the City Hospital in Dubai. Al-Bahouth said he could not afford the bills at the specialist hospital so he was forced to submit a request to the Office of the Cultural Attaché at the Kingdom's embassy. “I remembered the recent directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to ambassadors – for them to follow up on scholarship students and their families and to provide them with everything they need to guarantee their safety and continuous productivity.” Al-Bahouth said that he went to Dr. Abdullah Al-Tayyar, the Cultural Attaché at the Kingdom's Embassy and explained his situation. He said the Cultural Attaché's Office responded quickly to his request and covered the cost of UAE Dirhams 33,000. He said he was thankful for the King's assistance. His wife and son, Abdul Aziz, are in a stable condition. The couple also have a daughter.
