Police here busted a gang of Ethiopian bootleggers who indulged in brewing and selling araq. Several arrests were also made in this connection. Acting on a tip-off, security personnel put the gang under strict surveillance and discovered that an Ethiopian was distributing bottles of araq to his compatriot customers. Security patrols raided the brewing den and caught the men distilling araq. They then seized the distilling equipment and quantities of bottled liquor.
