Powerhouse Jeddah Ranao Tennis Club (JRTC) bagged top honors in Class C and Middle Mix (MMX) categories, while Enjaz-Magic needed only three sets to dispose of Elaf Group for the Category B2 diadem in the final rounds of the 2nd Al-Baik Tennis Challenge 2010 at the Al-Bilad Hotel tennis courts. Playing an all-JRTC Class C final, JRTC 2 proved steadier than its sister team JRTC-1 when it won 3-1 to bag the championship. Trailing one set down as Raffy and Alex lost against Webb Pango and Hamidi Samad at 4-8, Faiz Amil and Faisal Masnar bounced back for the equalizer at 8-4 against Daud Mua and Yasser Rauf. It was smooth sailing for JRTC-2 in the succeeding sets as Sohail Al Hafez and Nash Mangontara swept Michael Pangandamun and Mardi Alonto off their feet with 8-4 winner that set the kill, as Hassan Attas and Mike Datu delivered the “coup de grace” to seal the match, and the title by beating Ken Mapandi and Omar Acmad 8-3. In the MMX Category, JRTC underlined its superior line-up by beating Jollibee-7, 3 sets to1 to pocket the crown. With Maarof and Ali surprising Randy Martin and Rey Villaraza at 8-4 in the first set, Jollibee's Ruben and Ramon Monteverde leveled the match at 1-set all, by overcoming the stiff challenge of Acmad Sani and Danny at 8-5. In the crucial third set Wowee and Jimmy, were unstoppable by outclassing Tony Mirasol and Carmelo Nery with a pressure-barred 8-2 score. In the nerve-raking fourth set, Tony Cuneco and Jun Coraler attempted to level the match, but Sajid Khan and Hats Mamaenti were too hot to handle, bowed at 4-8 and delivered the championship to JRTC. Enjaz Magic surged ahead in the B2 category title match with Ruben Alzate and James Ventec setting the pace on an 8-2 winner against Mar Malonzo and Rhill Macapagal of Elaf Group. Enjaz-Magic smelled victory, as the reliable Ramil Abdua and Albert Bayot cruised past Rey Tablang and Francis Lenguaje with the same 8-2 score, that posted a confidence-building two sets to nil advantage, going into the third set. In the pressure-packed third set, Amin Parati and Armand Bucay capitalized on the big 2-0 advantage, and demolished Leo Perez and Dario Palon to take the third set with an 8-3 match clincher.
