Two persons have been arrested for breaking into the home of a King Saud University professor and stealing gold jewelry and “precious stones”. Police said on Thursday that two “young men” broke down the main entrance to the house and smashed a kitchen window to gain access before making away with jewels worth SR75,000. The suspects confessed to the robbery during questioning, and also admitted to the burglary of a neighboring building. Officials, who are continuing their investigations to establish the extent of the pair's activities, said the stolen property was located and returned to its owner.
