Renowned Saudi artist Safia Binzaqar was the guest of honor at the monthly meeting of the spouses of Pakistani diplomats here on Monday. The meeting, at the residence of Imrana Siddiqui, wife of the Deputy Consul General, was presided over by Fauzia Khan, wife of the Consul General of Pakistan, Abdul Salik Khan. Introducing Binzaqar as a role model for Muslim women who wish to excel in their respective careers and fields, Khan expressed her appreciation for Binzaqar's services in the promotion of art and culture in Saudi Arabia and the Islamic World. Binzaqar briefed the meeting about the achievements and accomplishments of Saudi women, especially in the field of art and culture. She also spoke about her art gallery in Jeddah and its various programs. The gallery has, over the years, evolved into a unique window into Saudi cultural life. Khan also presented gifts to Binzaqar as mementos of a delightful interaction with the artist.
