To encourage the direct participation of young Saudi entrepreneurs in national business affairs, the Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Eastern Province is spearheading the establishment of a Young Businessmen and Businesswomen Council in the region. The council, which will be an incubation platform and training ground for future national business leaders, will be divided into two sections – young businessmen and young businesswomen. Guidelines for membership and the formation of the council have been set by Abdulrahman Rashid Al-Rashid, president of the Asharqia Chamber. He said membership in the Young Businessmen and Businesswomen Council is open to all Saudi entrepreneurs between 20 to 40 years of age, who have at least a diploma degree and own or are shareholders of a company that is duly registered in the Asharqia Chamber.
