Some 3,000 businesswomen are expected to participate in the three-day fifth Businesswomen's Cultural Meeting starting here on May 16. The event, under the auspices of Princess Hissa Bint Trad Al-Shalan, wife of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, will focus on the organization of an invest-from-home mechanism and its role in achieving economic growth. Princess Hissa said the meeting will concentrate on accomplishing a number of economic goals that will support businesswomen in their aspirations to participate in the economic development of the Kingdom. Among the goals are acquainting people with the women's business sector in Riyadh and the role of the women's branch of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its contributions to uplifting the businesswomen's community, Princess Hissa said. It also aims to develop effective means for partnership and constructive communication, develop relations between investors and the chamber, educate business owners in terms of commerce and management and in terms of local and global economic developments, and strengthen relations between women's branches at the Kingdom's chambers of commerce and industry, she said.
