A book on Muslim civilization was released here Sunday night. The book “Muslim Civilization - causes of decline and need for reform” written by renowned scholar and winner of the 1990 King Faisal Award for service to Islam. Prince Mesha'al Bin Majed Bin Abdul Aziz was the chief guest at the occasion. The function was organized by Engineers Welfare Forum Jeddah (EWFJ) in conjunction with Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP). Mohammad Umer Chapra explained the concept and need of writing the book. He said that Allah has made human being as his regents and it is the duty of all to implement the Almighty's commands found in the Noble Qur'an and Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The most important acts are implementation of justice, proper political and economical system, moral and social values, right of expression, punishment of culprits and raising the merit values, he said. Shahid Krimullah, Ambassaodr of Pakistan, said the Ummah needs a leader who could voice issues and suggestions on global perspective instead of representing countries like Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Iran. __
