Badr Ibrahim Al-Humaid is set to participate today in the International Exhibition for Energy, Environment and Sciences with his project “The Safe Iron” in Houston, Texas in the United States. He will be competing against 900 students from 70 countries. Al-Humaid will present his project at the exhibition after being nominated by the American Committee of Referees that attended the Arab Innovations Competition in Tunisia recently. During that exhibition, his project won third place. His project had won first position at the innovations competition organized by the Ministry of Education last year in Hafr Al-Batin. On his visit to the US, the student will be accompanied by his father Ibrahim Al-Humaid and Anas Bin Saleh Abu Dawood, Supervisor General of the project, head of the delegation and Director of the Students' Activities Department in the Education Administration in Jeddah. Abu Dawood said Al-Humaid is an outstanding and talented student and is studying at the King Fahd Intermediate Pioneering School in Jeddah. He has been a member of the Jeddah Scientific Creativity Club since 2006. He studied earlier at the “Al-Rawabi Al-Khudhr” International School and Riyadh Pioneering Primary School.
