Man kills ‘vampire' wife in Iloilo

An elderly woman was beheaded by her deranged husband – who claimed he mistook her for a vampire – in Iloilo province Tuesday, police said Thursday.
The body of 70-year-old Adela Rojo was found without her head past 6 A.M. Tuesday in her residence in Sitio Tubudan in Barangay Igcocolo, Guimbal town in Iloilo.
The victim's body was found after her husband, Rodolfo, voluntarily surrendered to the police.
Rodolfo admitted having killed his wife after he mistook her for a vampire. According to some of the family members, the husband has been acting strangely for over a week. Authorities believe the suspect is suffering from nervous breakdown, but they have not idea what caused his insanity. – ABS
