Obama to appoint Ali's wife to commission

President Barack Obama has announced he will appoint the wife of boxer Muhammad Ali to a panel that will advise him on bioethical issues.
The White House said in a news release last weekj that Lonnie Ali will be one of 10 people Obama will appoint to the Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues. The panel will advise the president on issues related to advances in biomedicine and similar areas of science and technology.
Lonnie Ali has been an advocate to raise awareness of Parkinson's disease, which her husband battles.
In 2009, they opened the Lonnie and Muhammad Ali Pavilion, which houses the Muhammad Ali Parkinson's Center. It's located on the campus of Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Ariz.
