Authorities brought in a helicopter Thursday to help in the search for a German couple who lost their way in the desert between Al-Hinakiya to the north of Madina and Hail. Mansour Al-Juhani, spokesman for the Civil Defense in Madina, said that search operations began Wednesday evening and that 24 hours of continued efforts failed to find any trace of the couple. “We are going to continue searching until we find them. At the moment we're focusing on the Mahsoura area between Al-Hinakiya and Hail,” Al-Juhani said. “As soon as we find them we will release a statement.” Police and the Civil Defense in the provinces of Madina and Hail are both involved in the operations.
