Three persons of Arab nationality have been sentenced to prison and fines followed by deportation for providing transport to illegal immigrants who wished to visit the holy sites during last year's Haj. One of the three, employed as a company driver and held while attempting to take to the holy sites 47 persons on a hired bus, was given six months and fined SR470,000, while another who was found transporting 22 illegal immigrants was fined SR220,000. According to officials, he was driving a truck at the time and attempted to flee from police when he was stopped. A third man, caught with 7 persons, was fined SR70,000.
