Schools across the Kingdom on Monday observed Arab Orphans Day. Dr. Fahd Al-Tayash, spokesman for the Ministry of Education, said the ministry seeks to bring orphans into the mainstream of society. “Orphans should feel that they can be productive members of society,” Al-Tayash said. Arab Orphans Day events not only focus on the superficial behavior and attitude of orphans, but on their dealing with their classmates and teachers and how to cultivate correct behavior on both sides. With the celebration of Orphans Day over the years, the ministry, Al-Tayash said, has noticed great enthusiasm among students confirming that behavioral concepts are not just theoretical but also have a positive impact on the personality of students.
