Delhi Daredevils defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 37 runs in their Indian Premier League match at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium here Sunday.
Paul Collingwood first blasted an unbeaten 46-ball 75 to guide Delhi to a competitive 184-5 against Bangalore and then Pradeep Sangwan and Amit Mishra restricted the Royal Challengers to 147-9 in their allotted overs.
Collingwood slammed three fours and seven sixes to anchor the Delhi innings after skipper Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to bat.
Scores: Delhi Daredevils 184-5 in 20 overs (Paul Collingwood 75 not out; KP Appanna 2-24) Royal Challengers Bangalore 147-9 in 20 overs (Jacques Kallis 54; Pradeep Sangwan 3-22, Amit Mishra 3-32).
In the day's first match Kings XI Punjab beat Kolkata Knight Riders by eight wickets at the Eden Gardens.
Chris Gayle plunder Ravi Bopara in an over which bled 33 runs, the costliest of the IPL, to help his side reach 200-3 in 20 overs. But Kolkata bowlers came up short, allowing Punjab to cross the target for the loss of two wickets and ten balls to spare.
