Qassim police are investigating a report alleging that the Health Affairs director here on Thursday assaulted a security guard who allegedly prevented the director's brother from entering the residential compound of King Saud Hospital where the director resides. A medical report from the hospital shows that the guard suffered “bruises and marks of physical assault”. The director, Dr. Salah Al-Kharraz, refused to comment on the incident. The guard, Ali Al-Nujaiban, told the newspaper that he was hit with hands and shoes because “I asked for identification”. The guard has filed a complaint with the police. However, several hospital personnel are trying to persuade him to withdraw his complaint.
