Saudi Medicare 2010 - the 13th International Healthcare, Hospital Supplies and Medical Equipment Show - has announced on Saturday that world-renowned specialists from Europe, North America, the Middle East, and other parts of the world will serve as speakers of the 4th Medical Devices Scientific Forum and the 1st Radiology Technologists Conference, being held concurrently with Saudi Medicare 2010 on April 12-15 at the newly completed Riyadh International Exhibition Center. The forums support efforts in Saudi Arabia to improve medical facilities and restructure the management of 218 government hospitals into private enterprises. The first-ever Radiology Technologists Conference which is accredited by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties, will introduce new applications and provide in-depth discussions in areas such as medical imaging, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and radiation protection. The 4th Medical Devices Scientific Forum, which is accredited as well by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties, will focus on topics related to medical devices technology, its management and the challenges facing those working in this field. Mohammed Al-Hussaini, deputy general manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, organizer of Saudi Medicare 2010, said: “Through these forums, we intend to provide in-depth discussions and create awareness about the latest advances in medical devices technology and radiology. Moreover, I believe that these forums will also serve as excellent networking platforms, particularly in view of ongoing efforts to enhance medical facilities and privatize government hospitals across Saudi Arabia. The Radiology Technologists Conference will be particularly of great interest as it is the first-ever event to focus on future prospects and challenges of radiology technologists in Saudi Arabia.” “Some of the world's leading practitioners, including 23 high-profile speakers from Saudi Arabia and from around the world, will also be attending the 4th Medical Devices Scientific Forum. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the organizers of the Forum, has prepared a diverse range of topics that are increasingly becoming crucial in the provision of medical services, including healthcare informatics, health education and consumer awareness, and even challenges facing regulatory authorities,” he added. Saudi Medicare 2010 will also be held concurrently with ‘Saudi Eye Care 2010 - The 6th International Eye Care and Optical Technology Exhibition' and ‘Saudi Dentistry 2010 - The 9th International Dental Health Exhibition'. Saudi Medicare has increased its exhibition area by 30 percent to accommodate a growth in the number of exhibitors and trade visitors, which include corporate decision makers of healthcare multinationals, healthcare professionals and foreign investors.
