A motorist who opened fire on police when asked to stop and subsequently fled by car and then on foot, was restrained and found to have in his possession 1,800 Captogon pills, hashish and a bottle of alcohol. Police said that the driver's flight on Wednesday forced them to shoot at his tires, after which he tried to run into mountains off the Bisha to Khamis Mushayt road. Officers finally caught up with the man and handed him over to the Narcotics Unit in Bisha for investigation.
