Sarawat's Fen Delatorre and Tatah Martinez turned the tables on Enjaz-Magic's Magic's Tracy Atienza and Rosan Buhion, suppressing the late charge of their opponents to regain control of the next two service games against 5-4 Enjaz's lead, and stay upfront at 6-5 during their 1st set match under category Higher Mix of the ASTEC-Al-Baik Tennis Tournament at the Jeddah International School. The Sarawat duo, then, fought off the pressure of 6-7 deficit, and broke through to victory after a hard-fought 10-8 tiebreak win. In the second set singles, Jean Gandia of Sarawat was tentative on her serves against Enjaz-Magic's Joy de Mesa that put her behind at 1-3. She toiled hard and dug deep from her reserves to nudge past Joy de Mesa, 8-4, at the end of the second set. In the third set, Sarawat's Sheila Harris compensated for her partner Dang Bangit by coming out with blistering serves against Enjaz's Malou dela Merced and Ely Dominguez in the fourth game to bail out her doubles back on track at 2-all. Sheila, Sarawat's team captain, shut off any further glitter of the supposed Enjaz's Magic wand, unleashing some more of her staggering 40-love and 40-15 service games in the 7th and in the 11th games to widen their lead to 5-3, then 6-4, and stymied the Enjaz duo into submission at 8-4 – that won Sarawat the match at 3-0. In a Category B1 match, Danube-Dynamics rumbled to a rare 3-0 victory versus another Enjaz-Magic team. Julie Baquilar and Liza Piesta started the first set with a comfortable 3-0 lead, but Tracy Atienza and Donna of Enjaz-Magic clawed their way back to 3-all, then wrestled the lead 5-4, but Danube's Julie Baquilar and Liza Piesta prevailed at 8-6. The second set gave Dang Bangit of Danube-Dymnamics a walk-over 8-0 win against Malou dela Merced due to no-show. In the third set, Danube's Yeye Balde and Fen Delatorre scaled new heights to a record 7-0 lead before getting out of the court with 8-3 bashing against Joy de Mesa and Beng Tumale of Enjaz-Magic. In another match under Category B1, host JIS's Cynthia Mativo and Mila Carmina built up a huge 6-1 lead in the first set, then pushed KAMC's Xenia Chan and Jean Gandia to the brink at 7-1. But the JIS duo dangled the easy win, allowing their opponents work their way out to level at 7-all for a tiebreak. It was JIS's win, after all, for Cynthia Mativo and Mila Carmina with close 10-8 tiebreak scores. The first and second sets saw JIS's Dodie Villanueva and Donna Morte stroll past KAMC's Malou Agarin and Rosano Bayot, 8-4 whereas KAMC's Joy Siongco did a rare feat of downing the experienced Alice Toling of JIS, 8–2, paving the way of the deciding third set. Host JIS continued its surge during the weekend, as its team in Category B2 stole the thunder out of the highly rated Elaf team, 2-1. It went down in the first set as its Donna Cuevas and Joy, slumped out at 3-8 against Elaf's Sheila Harris and Tatah Martinez. In the second set singles, Bebs of JIS carved out a tie-break win against Tracy Atienza, who donned her thirrd different team's uniform in the week (this time under Elaf). Nympha Sakay and Lilian Sy closed out the match for JIS as they quashed the challenge of Ealaf's Beng Tumalle and Elly Dominguez, 8
