The Health Affairs department here on Monday issued directives to urgently clean the drinking water reservoirs at the housing of its employees after 47 residents there fell sick from contaminated water. Their condition is “not worrying” according to the department's director Hussien Al-Ruaili. He said the department has taken a number of measures to correct the situation. Laboratory tests at the reservoirs showed signs of microbial contamination.
