Police have said that the death of a child whose body was found in a small rainwater lake at a farm on the Al-Ola to Hail road on Friday is not being treated as suspicious. Saudi Gazette reported Sunday that the nine-year-old boy's body was found in the three-meter-deep body of water with a “rope around his neck”, but police denied Saturday that there was any evidence of a criminal offense. “The death we believe was accidental due to the child falling in the water,” said police spokesman Mohsen Al-Radadi. “He had around his neck a length of cloth that had no role in any crime. The deceased had tied the cloth around his neck before he fell into the water.”
