The recently concluded international conference on women's health in Gulf countries called for combating obesity among women. The conference, organized by Saudi Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (SOGS), was attended by over 700 doctors from International Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology, World Health Organization, British Royal College and Arab Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology Societies. The conference underlined the importance of raising awareness of breast cancer, self-examination and periodic medical checkups.
