Over the past six months, the Control and Investigation Board (CIB) has investigated 1,287 criminal cases, which includes 878 cases of bribery and forgery committed at various government agencies. The CIB revealed Saturday that the cases vary from bribery, forgery, misuse of office and the abuse of power. All the cases have been referred to the administrative court to punish those involved, said Abdul Aziz Bin Misfer Al-Gouaib, the director of media and public relations at the CIB. He said the CIB inspectors had carried out 28,400 inspections at a number of government agencies in different parts of the Kingdom. He said the CIB has also objected to 215 verdicts passed by the administrative court. The CIB inspects the administrative and financial performance of these government agencies also, he said. He said the CIB responds to the reports published in the media about the shortcomings and deficiencies at various government agencies.
