The General Directorate of Health in Riyadh has ordered closed 32 private health centers and referred their owners to a committee set up to investigate violations committed by private health establishments. Majed Bin Nasser Al-Bla'a, Director of Medical Licenses and Pharmaceutical Affairs at the Health Directorate in Riyadh, said that his department carried out inspection tours of 778 health centers so far this year, including health centers, optical shops, physiotherapy centers, speech therapy centers and dental laboratories in all towns in the region. He said the inspection committee has ordered the closure of 32 centers for violating the rules and regulations of health ministry. These violations include the employment of medical staff who are not licensed by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the recruitment of unqualified medical staff.
