Justine Henin has advanced to the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open by beating Jill Craybas 6-2, 6-2. Henin double-faulted five times Wednesday and struggled with inconsistent groundstrokes. But she saved seven of eight break points while converting five of six. The 33rd-ranked Henin is mounting a comeback this year after a 20-month retirement. She'll play fifth-seeded Elena Dementieva in the second round Friday. Seeded players had a first-round bye. Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic beat Tathiana Garbin of Italy 6-4, 6-4 to set up a second-round match against reigning US Open champion and third-seeded Kim Clijsters. Other first round winners included: Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic, Gisela Dulko of Argentina, Peng Shuai of China, and Alicia Molik of Australia. Gasquet bows with loss Frenchman Richard Gasquet's ATP slump deepened Wednesday with a 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, 6-4 loss to Belgian Olivier Rochus in the first round of the Miami Masters hardcourt tournament. Since reaching the final of his season opener at Sydney against Marcos Baghdatis, 74th-ranked Gasquet has done little of note, losing six of seven matches with his only victory coming against Carlos Moya, who was returning from injury, in Acapulco.
