After a gap of two years, Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF) is set to resume its annual football league championship this year at Sharbatly ground in Bagdadiya Friday. The fixture for the tournament has been released by K.K. Vijayan, Indian Consul (Community Welfare) at a function held at a local restaurant in Sharafiya Saturday by handing over the copy of the schedule to Mohammed Cheriya of JNH Hospital, which is the main sponsor of the championship this year. In the opening match, Western Union-ACC will take on Blue Star A at 5.30 P.M. Friday. Vijayan, in his speech, appreciated the endeavors of SIFF since it has been contributing to the community welfare, physical fitness and metal relaxation. While wishing all success for this year's championship he also called for discipline and sportsmanship while gunning for glory in the tournament. SIFF, an umbrella organization of Indian expatriate soccer clubs in Jeddah, has been conducting this championship regularly for 12 years without fail since its inception. Earlier, SIFF President T.P. Ahmed detailed about the tournament and its format during a press conference attended by tournament chairman Hifzur Rehman, secretary Mohammed Ali, treasurer V.K. Abdul Rauf and working president Usman Irumpuzhi. The 13th edition of the tournament, which will be dubbed as “SIFF-JNH Soccer 2010”, will see 13 teams out of the 22 registered teams of the forum, in action . Five teams will fight for honors in the First Division on a league-cum-knockout basis. The teams are: Blue Star A, Western Union-ACC, Mohsen Cargo-Freinds, BCC and Real Kerala FC. The eight teams in the Second Division have been divided into two groups. Group A: International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ), Blue Star B, Young Challengers Club and Al-Huda Sports Club. Group B: Rainbow Sports Club, ACC-B, Yas Club and Combined Brothers. The format again will be league-cum
