The White House has selected Saudi scientist Hayat Sindi as one of five academics to take part in a documentary film to promote science and technology entitled “Connect a Million Minds”. The program, which seeks to acquaint students with the work of renowned scientists from around the world, entails a documentary on the lives and works of scientists and will be shown on US television. “The documentary will portray scientists' daily lives at home and work, and outline their achievements,” Dr. Hayat Sindi said. “They will be filming at my laboratory at Harvard University and I've also suggested to the director that parts be shot in the Kingdom so the world can see the remarkable development and progress being made in all its walks of the life.” Sindi has previously been cited by Pop Tech – an “innovation network” of specialists that seeks to “accelerate the impact of world changing people, projects and ideas” – as one of the world's 15 most likely scientists to bring about lifestyle change through research and invention.
