Five burglars who independently targeted private homes and istiraha (rest houses) were arrested by police in East Jeddah on Friday following undercover operations monitoring suspicious activities and persons with criminal records. Acting on reports of burglaries committed at several East Jeddah locations, police observed one thief attempting to sell expensive electronic equipment and followed the individual to his place of residence where he was arrested. Three other persons were caught in the act of breaking into an istiraha and were detained at the scene, while another was arrested as he made his way home.
