Customs inspectors at the Salwa crossing on the border with Qatar on FRiday seized over 9,000 bottles of alcohol hidden in a truck driven by a 30-year-old Arab male. Investigations are questioning the man and seeking to establish the destination of the illicit cargo. Saudi Gazette reported last Wednesday that customs authorities had seized over the previous two days 11,000 bottles of alcohol and cans of beer in five separate hauls at the border crossings of Al-Batha and Salwa in the Eastern Province.
