Four construction workers were injured when reinforced steel columns collapsed at building works for the Haramain Train on Monday. The four were trapped beneath steel girders and rubble until rescue teams extracted them and they were taken to a nearby hospital. Their injuries were not described a serious. A Civil Defense spokesman said the collapse was due to “weak girding” and an investigation is under way.
