46E Sea Knight troop carrier, first used during the Vietnam war, before it takes off from the USS Essex off the waters of Subic Bay, north of Manila Monday. More than 6,000 US troops are in the country for Balikatan 2010 which aims to enhance interoperability between the two strong allies. This year's exercise is the 26th edition of its series and they will focus on humanitarian assistance training and rescue operations following the onslaught of the recent typhoons and earthquakes that ravaged Manila last year.
