Humayun, Zaman hit tons in ACE Cup

Zaman hit a magnificent innings of 137 runs off 54 balls to help Zinda Tilismat-XI win against Old Students-XI by 142 runs, in-form Humayun Farooq slammed a classic 111 in 50 deliveries to power Natco past Pak Ahmadabad-XI by 34 runs, Zain Al Salikeen hit a captain's innings of 81 in 48 balls to steer Shalimar to a 55-run victory over Hyderabad Green-XI, Rawi beat Panda Cricketers by 8 wickets as Hidayath and Abid hit half centuries each and a fine spell of 4-23 by left-arm medium pacer Shamsheer helped Saad Group win by 8 wickets against Tamer in the 8th week matches of JCA Division I Championship for ACE Cup which is sponsored by the ACE Travel and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).
Zinda Tilismat-XI, batting first, made 257-5 in 18 overs against Old Students-XI. Jawed Ahmed was caught brilliantly by Zaheer Peeran off the first ball from Hamid Khan. Urooj made 28. But Zaman was in a punishing mood as he hit 137 with 14 boundaries and 8 sixes, with skipper Sadathullah he made a record 173 runs partnership, Sadathullah (62). Najmi took 2 wickets and Hamid, Zeeshan and Zaheer Peeran one each.
Old Students-XI slumped to 115 all out in 16 overs. Najmi 23, Ali 16, Hamid 12, Muhammad 10, Zaheer Peeran 10 and Raja 9 were the main scorers. Zahid took 2 wicket while Zaman, Saeed Khan, Ghulam, Urooj and Rafeh took one each to celebrate a 142-run victory.
Natco Saudi Arabia made 209-8 against the Pak Ahmadabad-XI. Jawad made 31. Its skipper Humayun Farooq hit a classic innings of 111 with 15 fours and 3 sixes. Ashiq Ali scored 21. Shahid claimed 2-37 and Zahid, Farooq and Abdul Rauf got one each.
In reply, Pak Ahmadabad-XI managed 175-6. Abdul Rauf hit an unbeaten 85 in vain, Saleem Sheikh 36, Syed Ashraf Shah 19 and Mohammed Zahid 14. Humayun Farooq 2-23, Riyaz, Ashiq Ali and Ali (one each) were the wicket-takers.
Shalimar, batting first, made 214-4against Hyderabad Green-XI. Zain Al Salikeen topscored with 81, Tariq Jamal 65 off 27 balls, Rana Shahzad 43 and Abdul Rauf 9. Islam took 2-55, Asif 1-26 and Ashfaq 1-38. Hyderabad Green-XI made 159-8 through Bilal 48, Nabil 32, Majid 11 and Shaban11. Rana Shahzad claimed 3-22, Abdul Rauf 2-30 while Nabil, Ditta and Rashid got one each.
Panda, batting first, scored 134-9 against Rawi through Shoaib 51, Arif Hashmi 31 and Taher 12. Shamsheer 4-23, Sher Ali 2-41 and Shafi 2-36 took the wickets. In reply, Rawi made 138-2 through Abid 51, Hidayath 50, Shamsheer 18 and Shafiullah 10.
Tamer made 143-6 against Saad Group through Hafeez 48, Asghar 28, Anwar 13, Ali 18 and Afsar 11. Sadeer claimed 2-22, Umar 3-36 and Sayeed 1-3. In reply, Saad Group hit 146-2 in 16.2 overs. Sajid 46, Mustafa 43, Sadeer 27 and Tariq 19 were the main scorers. Amjad 1-41 and Anwar 1
