A Ministry of Health committee investigating the death of a woman while she was undergoing an appendectomy late last year, on Tuesday listened to the testimony of her husband. Faisal Mansour Al-Makrami, the husband of Arwa, the woman who died on the operation table on the third day of Eid Al-Adha last year, accused the medical team which conducted the operation at King Khaled Hospital here of negligence. After testifying before the committee, Al-Makrami said the investigation includes all those who dealt with his wife's case from the time she was taken to the hospital's emergency room until she was pronounced dead. He said members of the ministerial committee vowed that they would strictly deal with anyone found guilty of negligence, stressing that the minister of health was personally following the course of the investigations. Waleed Ali Al-Jari'y, a member of the committee, said the committee had listened to the testimony of the husband of the deceased and had thoroughly studied all the details of the case. He stressed that everyone involved would be interrogated. Another committee member said that all members of the medical team which dealt with Arwa from the time of her admission to the hospital until her death would be investigated. He added that the committee would take all dossiers to the ministry to revise them once again before issuing a final report. Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Rabeah, the Minister of Health, ordered the formation of the committee to probe the incident upon the request of Al
