Umar Khan Ali Sherzai, Ambassador of Pakistan, Sunday called on Abdullah Aal Al-Sheikh Chairman of the Shoura (Consultative) Council and discussed matters of mutual interest and cooperation between the Shoura Council and Pakistani Parliament. Sherazi conveyed the greetings of Chairman of Pakistan Senate Farooq H. Naek and Speaker of the National Assembly Dr. Fahmida Mirza to the Shoura chairman. Sherazi commended the role of the Shoura Council in formulating new legislation ensuring greater participation of women in the development of Saudi Arabia. He reiterated government of Pakistan's desire to further promote relations between Shoura Council members and Pakistan parliamentarians. On behalf of Senate Chairman and National Assembly Speaker, Sherazi invited the Shoura chief to visit Pakistan at a convenient time which was accepted. Sherazi hoped that Aal Al-Sheikh's visit will strengthen relations between Shoura and Pakistan Parliament.
