Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) beat its rivals to market with the Kingdom's first HSPA+ enabled Connect router, said the company. Aptly named Turbo Router, the device can provide users with download speeds of up to an unprecedented 21.6 Mbps using the advanced HSPA+ technology. Khalid Bin Omar Al Kaf, Mobily's CEO, said that by launching the Turbo, his company made a quantum leap with internet broadband technology in the Kingdom. “This is an added value to Mobily's exceptional services that is in line with Mobily's purposeful vision, which is to be a pioneer by providing its subscribers with the latest in technology,” said the CEO. Al Kaf added that the Turbo Router would always be available to both post-paid and pre-paid subscribers at aggressive prices. The introduction of the device is part of Mobily's strategy of providing its subscribers with the best possible WiFi solutions, allowing more than one person to use it at a time. A major benefit of the WiFi solution is that users can enjoy Mobily's wireless internet services easily, without needing to grapple with cabling and complicated configurations.
