national Golf Tournament, organized by the American Business Group here to raise funds for local charities. This annual event took place at Arizona Golf Course where 200 golf players contested for the top prize, LCD Television of a large screen, donated by Electro, a specialist electronics and home appliance store. About 300 spectators gathered to watch this event of golf champions. Tommy Walter's team ranked at the top and swept most individual awards. Simon Stoddard's team ranked second and the third position was shared by three teams. The tournament was held during the day and the prize distribution ceremony was held at the residence of Ambassador of the United States in the evening, where winners were awarded their trophies and valuable prizes which included TV sets, golf kits and complimentary airline tickets. Gary Richardson of Electro received a golf kit as one of the outstanding winners. Prize distribution ceremony was followed by a formal dinner and a lucky draw which offered numerous valuable gifts. Ambassador of the United States also gave shields of appreciation to the organizers of the tournament which included Arizona Golf Club Pro Marty Cowal and Mrs. Sarah Kennedy. Speaking at the occasion the organizer of the prize distribution ceremony Tom Merkel said that golf is one of the most liked sport among the expatriate community in Riyadh and he expressed his appreciation to Electro and other sponsors of the event.
