Lebanese President Michel Suleiman is arriving in the Kingdom on Saturday. King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and President Suleiman will discuss developments in the Middle East, Palestine, Iraq and Iran as the two leaders seek to boost political, economic, commercial and cultural relations between Riyadh and Beirut. Ali Awwadh Asiri, the Kingdom's Ambassador to Beirut, said King Abdullah's meeting with President Suleiman was coming at a time of good atmosphere in Lebanon following the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' support for Lebanese national unity and efforts to increase security and peace in the region. “The Riyadh summit will look to boost bilateral relations, support joint Arab work and unify ranks, increase efforts to combat terrorism, encourage Palestinian reconciliation, and strive to achieve the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people to live in security and peace as well as a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital,” Asiri said. President Suleiman will be accompanied by senior officials on his visit scheduled to last several days.
