The Institute of Electrical Engineers of the Philippines-Central Region Chapter in Saudi Arabia (IIEE-CRCSA held its first in-house Basix Konnex-European Installation Bus or KNX-EIB systems and programming at the Nasser Co. training facility in Riyadh, organizers said here Tuesday. The 20-hour intensified in-house training workshop was held in a series of four Fridays, on Jan. 8, 15, 29 and Feb. 5, 2010. It was participated in by 16 IIEE-CRCSA members, Board of Directors, six guests, and five facilitators from Al–Nasser Co., said Engr. Rolando Nicolas, the group's vice president for technical affairs. Resource speaker was Engr. Ferdie dela Cruz, a KNX-EIB License Partner and systems division manager of the Al-Nasser Co. “With the successful implementation of the project, it has gained more interest among our members. Due to our members demand, the chapter is organizing another batch on the same training modules slated for May 2010,” said Engr. Victor Imperial, IIEE-CRSA Riyadh chapter president. “We are inviting all electrical practitioners and members in the Central Region to avail of the educational program to enhance their knowledge in EIB system, the world's leading system for “intelligent” electrical installation networking. Meanwhile, as part of the IIEE-CRSCA educational programs, it will be conducting board exam review classes for Registered Electrical Engineers (REE) AND Registered Master Electricians (RME) in anticipation of the Special Professional Licensure Board Examination (SPLBE)to be held in the Kingdom in November 2010.
