The women's section at the World Assembly of Muslim Youth in Makkah has announced the establishment of 28 teams of female volunteers. Head of girls' teams Layla Al-Nahdi said the project would transform girls' voluntary work into “organized, institutional work” to “guarantee continuity and efficiency.” Layla Al-Nahdi said the volunteer groups would be acquainted with each other and exchange their coordination and experiences. Islamic preacher Dr. Fatima Naseef gave a speech at the launch of the teams in which she said that each team had its own vision and creative ideas to serve the religion and country. “When we see young women with such love for the welfare of this country we know our society is well,” she said. – Okaz/SG Hala Nasir, head of the women's section of WAMY, awarded certificates to volunteer groups for their efforts in providing social services to the community.
