The Shariah Medical Commission in the southern region has dismissed a case filed by a woman against a doctor who removed her uterus without the permission of her husband because it was found that the operation was done to save her life. The doctor was given a warning by the Commission because he had summoned a specialist physician late to perform the operation. The defendant and plaintiff have the right to challenge the verdict at the Administrative Court within 60 days. According to the hospital's report, the woman had started bleeding after she gave birth. The hospital's management tried to reach her husband to ask permission to conduct an emergency operation, but his phone was switched off. The medical team then decided to perform the surgery to save the woman's life.
