Solidarity and unity among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are a must to encounter any threats to security, said Interior Minister Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz here Wednesday. Addressing the GCC Interior Ministers' 9th consultation meeting, he said the security of Arab countries was integral. “The developments sweeping the Arab region make it inevitable more than ever to double our efforts and continue security coordination and consultation among various security bodies to strengthen their potentials to safeguard our societies,” Prince Naif said. He said citizens play an important role in helping security forces. Only a small percentage of our people were affected by deviant ideology, he said, adding that a majority of the people are on the right track. Prince Naif and his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Abdullah Bin Naser Al-Khalifa Al-Thani signed the communiqué in the presence of the GCC Interior Ministers and GCC Secretary General Abdul Rahaman Al-Attiyah as well as the delegation accompanying Prince Naif.
