Customs officials at the Al-Haditha crossing seized in 24 hours 1.4 million Captogon pills in four separate smuggling attempts on Wednesday. The illegal narcotics were discovered in the rubber belt of a truck driver, in packets of confectionary, in rice sacks, and in the largest consignment, hidden in a series of machinery cooling pipes. An unstated number of persons were arrested on smuggling charges.
