An English Language Teaching Workshop for English teachers from classes I-X was held at the International Indian School Riyadh (Girls' Section) on Wednesday. The workshop was conducted by John Mason, ex-principal of the Doon School and former Head of Asian Schools, GEMS, Dubai. At the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Guest, Madam Sunita Mainee Ahmad, wife of H. E. Talmiz Ahmad, the Ambassador of India to the Kingdom, highlighted the need to follow brevity, simplicity and precision in writing. Imthias Ahmed, the Chairman of the School Managing Committee, promised to organize more workshops and in-service training for teachers, administrators and members of the School Managing Committee. About 70 teachers from various schools in Riyadh, took part in the one-day event specifically designed to enhance their competence in planning and delivering more effective English language lessons. Certificates were awarded to those who participated in the workshop.
