The International Islamic Relief Organization in Saudi Arabia (IIROSA) has signed an agreement with Nigeria to set up a fully-equipped center for heart surgery in the Nigerian state of Bauchi. Dr. Adnan Bin Khalil Basha, general secretary of IIROSA, signed the cooperation agreement with Bauchi state Governor Moalem Issa Iocoda during his recent visit to Jeddah, Walid Bissani, IIROSA Associate Media relations manager, said here Tuesday. IIROSA has formed a committee to coordinate and deal with the Nigerian state's governor on all the procedures and requirements needed for the center which will provide help and assistance to the poor in need of medical care. Both parties agreed that Bauchi state will provide the land to build the center and will facilitate all the legal arrangements and procedures necessary for accomplishing the project, Bissani said. He said that the heart surgery center will be equipped with the latest machines, medicines, and examination and surgical procedures in the field of cardiac surgery and catheterization. IIROSA has also participated in a regional conference on disaster management organized by the National Agency for immediate relief (YEMA) in Nigeria.
