It is a woman's land in Najran with the launch of the new and exclusive all-women mall where men shoppers and sellers are kept away. “Everything a woman needs is under one roof here,” said Umm Abdullah, 31, the mall's manager. Umm Abdullah said that the idea sprung from a need to create job opportunities for women and to allow them to shop with no harassment from men shoppers and sellers. “It is a safe and fun place for women to shop here,” she added. The mall consists of 33 shops, a food court, beauty salons, coffee shops, a gym, and playgrounds. The mall's management is planning to hold fun activities and festivals for women and children to attract more customers. The mall project has been supported by Bab Rizq Jameel, the “first stop” for unemployed young Saudis, who are looking for a decent job or business. An initiative of Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programs, Bab Rizq Jameel created a total of 41,284 jobs for young men and women in 2009 across the Kingdom.
