Diego Forlan's clinical finish and a superb Simao Sabrosa free-kick fired Atletico Madrid to a 2-1 home win over previously unbeaten La Liga leaders Barcelona Sunday. Second-placed Real Madrid's 3-0 win at bottom club Xerez Saturday had trimmed Barca's lead at the top to two points and Pep Guardiola's side, missing five first-team defenders through suspension or injury, failed to respond. With 22 matches played, Barca has 55 points, Real 53 and Valencia, which held 1-1 at mid-table Sporting Gijon Saturday, is third on 43. Erratic Atletico, which through to the King's Cup final, is 11th with 27. Jose Antonio Reyes played Forlan through to score Atletico's first in the ninth minute and the home side doubled their lead in the 23nd when Simao arrowed a free-kick past Barca goalkeeper Victor Valdes. Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled a goal back for the visitors four minutes later when he was left unmarked at the back post at a corner and volleyed high into the net from close range. The Swedish striker was twice denied by well-timed challenges from defender Luis Perea at the start of the second half and Valdes did well to keep out a fierce drive from striker Sergio Aguero. Also it was: Getafe 2 Almeria 2; Espanyol 2 Deportivo La Coruna 0; Racing Santander 0 Malaga 3; Valladolid 1 Real Zaragoza 1; Sevilla 1 Osasuna 0. Premier League rivals Tottenham and Bolton will also have to play their fifth-round match again after drawing 1-1. The winner will play Fulham, which advanced with a 4-0 victory over fourth-tier Notts County. Chelsea drawn at home Holder Chelsea will play Manchester City or Stoke City in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup next month after the draw was made Sunday. If Manchester City beat Stoke in a replay on Feb. 24, the cup meeting could bring together former Chelsea teammates John Terry and Wayne Bridge, who have fallen out over personal matters, face to face for the second week in succession. With four of this weekend's fifth-round ties ending in draws, the only definite pairing will see debt-ravaged Portsmouth facing Birmingham City at Fratton Park when the quarterfinal ties are played on the weekend of March 6 and 7. Fulham, which saw off League Two (fourth division) Notts County Sunday, hosts the winner of the replay between Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur. If Championship (second division) side Crystal Palace beats Premier League Aston Villa in their replay at Villa Park it will face the winner of the all-Championship replay between Reading and West Bromwich Albion. Napoli draws with Inter Serie A leader Inter Milan dropped two points in a 0-0 away draw against a spirited Napoli side Sunday. Napoli had the better of the match but was unable to find a breakthrough despite hitting the woodwork twice. Midfielder Sulley Muntari went closest for Inter, crashing a shot against the bar with Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis well beaten. The draw leaves Inter top with 54 points, seven clear of Roma, which beat Palermo 4-1 Saturday, and nine ahead of AC Milan, which edged Udinese 3-2 Friday. Napoli and Sampdoria have 39 points, while Juventus follows in sixth place with 38. However, Del Piero won a penalty and took it himself to give Juventus its first win in six games. At the bottom of the table, Lazio moved out of the relegation places with a 2-0 away win over Parma in Edy Reja's first match since becoming coach.
