0 away to Getafe but hung on to qualify for the King's Cup final 2-1 on aggregate Wednesday, thanks to the heroics of its goalkeeper Andres Palop. The 36-year-old Sevilla captain held his side together and was only beaten once as Getafe completely dominated at the Coliseum. Sevilla's opponent will be known when Atletico Madrid travels to Racing Santander to defend a 4-0 semifinal first-leg advantage. The final is in May with the date and venue yet to be confirmed. Chelsea and England rocked by Cole fracture Chelsea and England were rocked Thursday by news that Ashley Cole has suffered a fracture of his left ankle and will be out of action for approximately three months. The news is a serious blow to the west London club, for whom Cole had been in superb form, and for England, who will now be left sweating over the fitness of its first-choice left-back for the World Cup in South Africa in June and July. Although Cole should theoretically be back in action in mid-May, that will leave him with only a month and a handful of games, at best, to regain full match fitness in time for the start of the World Cup in mid-June. Giggs out for up to 4 weeks Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs will be out for up to four weeks after fracturing his right arm during Wednesday night's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa. Giggs suffered the injury when he collided with Villa substitute Steve Sidwell. An X-ray confirmed the fracture, United said in a statement Thursday. The injury means that Giggs will miss the first leg of United's Champions League match at AC Milan Tuesday and is also a doubt for the return leg on March 10. The 36-year-old midfielder is also likely to miss the League Cup final against Villa on Feb. 28. Terry given some time off Chelsea has given under-fire captain John Terry several days off and he will miss Saturday's FA Cup fifth round tie against Championship (second division) side Cardiff City at Stamford Bridge. “John won't play this weekend,” assistant manager Ray Wilkins told the club's website (www.chelseafc.com) after Wednesday's defeat at Everton.
