A car speeding on one of the main streets in Dhahran Al-Jonoub province split in two after it crashed and overturned, according to witnesses. Witnesses said a young man was driving the car which had veered into a water pool formed by the heavy rains which had lashed the province two days earlier. A team from the Civil Defense led by Captain Saa'd Saud Al-Qhtani had rushed to the scene. Also, a traffic patrol led by sergeant Maid Saleh Al-Wadai arrived at the scene. Captain Al-Qhtani said the driver was rushed to the General Hospital in Dhahran Al-Jonoub in a critical condition. He pointed out that a young man was killed last week in traffic accident at the same place, when his car hit an electric pole.
