Salim Owainid Al-Anezi, 55, smiled in the examination hall in Al-Gurayyat as he prepared to write the secondary school certificate. The reason for his good mood was that he was confident he would pass the examinations, especially since he had a great deal of general knowledge, especially in the Arabic language and literature. In fact, his life's experience has helped him a great deal in reaching the final year of secondary school. Despite his age, he is dreaming of joining King Abdullah's scholarship program because of his passion to learn foreign languages, especially English and French. He had missed his own education early on in life because he had been earning a living for his family. He is proud of his son, who is studying medicine in Ireland: “I have always encouraged him to work towards his goals,” said Al-Anezi. “I have been dreaming for years to have a university education, but my greatest dream is to join the King's scholarship program to learn English and French because I believe in cultural interaction.”
