Eisa, Saudi Arabian Cultural Attaché in the United States, reassured Saudi scholarship students here about living conditions in the United States, stating that the attaché's office had not received any complaints from the 23,500 Saudi students studying in various parts of the US. This number is expected to increase to 30,000 in the next few years. Al-Eisa was speaking on the sidelines of the International Higher Education Exhibition currently being held at Riyadh Exhibition Center. He pointed out that there are about 104 Saudi student clubs in American universities engaged in social and cultural activities. “These clubs provide an opportunity for Saudi students to interact and to provide support and assistance to each other,” he said. Speaking about the services that the attaché's office provides arriving students, Al-Eisa said that they endeavor to provide students with a reception which includes expediting administrative procedures, issuing registration cards and coordinating with educational institutions in various parts of the United States. “We provide emergency units, doctors, and 27 electronic services at our office premises, benefiting more than 1000 students daily. In addition we have arranged for comprehensive health insurance to cover students on scholarship. The insurance is applicable both within and outside the United States,” he said.
